The GEF-7 Inclusive Conservation Initiative (ICI) is a new model that offers increased large-scale and longer-term direct financing to Indigenous and local community organizations in order to deliver multiple global environmental benefits and support related cultural and economic development initiatives.

This video features representatives from the current portfolio, consisting of nine initiatives in 12 countries. These representatives shared their perspectives, including: Tupuna Rakanui (House of Ariki, Cook Islands); Ilenia Perez (Sotz’il, Panama); Fred Loure Parmelo (UCRT, Tanzania); Tunga Bhadra Rai (NEFIN, Nepal); and Prescilia Monireh Kapupu (ANAPAC, DR Congo).
